Venice - and a wedding!

Jeanette Cook Fused Glass Venice Series

After the very successful 'Passage' exhibition finished at the end of May, I've been having a most wonderful June! First, it was off to Venice for a few days to celebrate my wedding anniversary. How lucky am I? We had a most wonderful time - the weather was kind to us, and Venice looked more beautiful than ever. We revisited the fabulous Guggenheim Collection, and the islands of Murano and Burano; wandered round for hours on end just looking at the architecture, marvelled at the skill of the gondoliers as they navigated some of those tiny canals, stopped for the occasional prosecco....... Of course I have come back totally inspired and fired up with new ideas, and I can't wait to get back in the studio and start work.

But before I rolled up my sleeves and got going again, it was off to Islington for my darling daughter's wedding. She was stunningly gorgeous of course, and she and her lovely groom both looked so happy. What a magical day!

So, back to the real world now, and time to start creating.............
